I really don't enjoy wearing makeup in the sweltering heat... but the other day I decided not to want to wear eye makeup (besides mascara) so I decided to focus on the cheeks and the lips. Pink blushes are very popular in Japan. I never really could figure how to get dolly blush effect without over doing it, until the other day!
The look:
I'm using the same kind of base as my last bronzed look - Dior UV base in beige and Lancome Ageless Mineral foundation. It gives a really nice natural, glowy finish! I also used the Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer. Since rediscovering it I've gone back to it a lot :D sorry ignore messy hair. i get extremely lazy from the heat :P
The cheeks: Benefit Dandelion Powder (my fave) - center of cheeks to bone then added Jill Stuart Mixed Compact Blush in 01 Baby Blush - I only used one shade (the mid pink)- blending around the cheekbone area. The JS blush is SO pigmented. I wouldn't mind getting my hand on more these! haha.
Lips: NARS Roman Holiday lip crayon - I haven't used this in a long, long time! Added Guerlain Honey Shine 646 on top for a pretty golden sparkle (gift from Jian)
2 coats of Canmake Gokubuto mascara. Not bad I say! I'm not even using lash base here :D Thorough review on that later ;) Brows are from my usual Intergrate Gracy brow pencil in Grey!
The SLR does a great job capturing the colours. IF only I wasn't so lazy always using my iphone cam LOL!
A shout out to Diana from Cady Nation - I had won her giveaway nearly 2 months ago (?) but the first package got lost in the post T_T Yeah i was really sad about that. I also felt bad for Diana because she offered to send me another package. She included 2 pairs of her handmade earrings, loads of sheet masks AND Revlon CORAL REEF!!!! I have been lemming that shade since seeing it floating around the blogsphere ^_^
the jewelry were so nicely gift-wrapped with a cute business card and set of care-instructions. She also included a cute personal note (not in the pic)! So many masks to add to my mask collection! i've got tons of MBDMs but there's not harm in stocking up!
I was telling Diana, how the green pair reminded me of my jade necklace :D

On another note, I broke my no-buy rule and got me some Urban Decay Naked Palette! It's not available in Japan but it's an exclusive to House of Fraser so I bought mine there and it'll be sent to my house (in the UK)! What are you waiting for all you Brits?! ;) Until next time! xx
